Compact Ladder Kit - New version according to EN 81-20, manufactured to EN 131​

The Compact ladder is a switch-monitored foldable step ladder, which is suitable for shaft pits.
As opposed to other pit ladders, the Compact Ladder offers the following advantages:

• Step ladders of this type are not required to extend 1.1m above the access point so are therefor much shorter.
• The ladder takes up very little space in it's folded position - only 120 x 126mm.
• The two handles on the side avoid the danger of squeezing fingers at folding and unfolding the ladder and they provide a simple handling.
• Conventional ladders have rungs with a general width of 30mm. Descending safely is only possible when the ladder exceeds at least 1.10m above the exit point.
• This Compact ladder has Steps with a minimum width of 80mm and are almost horizontal. They assure a safe descending. According to the state-of-the-art it is not necessary that the ladder exceeds above the exit point, if the door frame can be used as support. If the door frame is not suitable for support, e.g. in the case of hinged doors, a separate handhold needs to be mounted at the shaft wall. (sold separately)
• An angled floor plate for oily or uneven pit floors can also be purchased separately.

For uneven and oily pit floors, we recommend the installation of an additional floor fixation plate with levelling sheets. Scope of delivery: 1 piece fixation clamp, 3 pieces levelling sheets and 1 fastening kit.
