Engineers Portable Landing Door Unlocking Device
The Engineers Landing Door Unlocking Device is suitable for unlocking landing doors from within the pit and is suitable for use in both new and existing lift systems.
It serves to fulfil the requirements of EN 81-20 5.3.9.3.5:
If the landing door is the only access to the pit, according to 5.2.2.3 the door locking device must be safely accessible within a height of 1.80m and at a horizontal distance of not more than 0.80m from the pit ladder, or a permanently installed device must make it possible for a person in the pit to unlock the door.
This portable lightweight telescopic device can be stored in an engineer’s tool bag, lift pit area and car top. Our Portable telescopic device is only 500mm long and can extend up to 1.80m with a simple twist lock action. The end of the device is fitted with a highly visible rubber arm as a visual aid for the location of the landing door unlocking roller.
Supplied with versatile fixing kit, allowing for the ELDUD/1 to be stored in either the lift shaft pit or on the car top.
